Oh, sweet Jesus on the mount, I'm so sorry I have not been around. You wouldn't believe all the crap that has been happening here. First off the world is falling apart and I'm dying of the anxiety of wondering if I'm even going to survive all the shit going down and then I got shingles. Shingles! The old person disease! I thought I still had quite a few years before I had to worry about it because my doctor has never brought it up. But nope, I got it and it knocked me on my ass. Then on top of that Grammy suffered a bad fall and has also been bedridden. But finally I'm not is a ridiculous amount of pain and she's been able to get around better and I thought I'd better be getting back into my snarking game. There's not much to this last bit. Just the usual trope of the BSC not really solving shit, just happening to be in the right place at the right time. At least this is before they started with the culprit just breaking down and confessing like Miranda Rights don't exist. Funny note, I was talking to Grammy lately and she grew up with the Mirandas. Knew the guy and everything. Anyways, let's go!

Sims Pics to Tide Y'all Over!

Hey, guys! So things have been mad crazy around here and I was spending all my time drowning my fury in the vidya games. And my Sims 3 was giving me trouble so I had to uninstall it till I can get an actual gaming laptop. But lucky, lucky, EA just released their Sims 2 collection and I snapped it up because 1) Juno Birch loves Sims 2 and 2) I do too. It's the closest in style to Sims Bustin' Out which was my introduction to the series and therefore holds a special place in my heart. But of course that meant I had to start over a new BSC Sims file and after some struggle with getting screenshots, I thought I do a little in between Sims posting to show I'm still around and because there were no nothing is happening chapters in my regular snark. Which I promise to get back to soon. Side note: If you've seen Juno Birch's Sims 2 videos you know that you can really mutate the features on your Sims and I thought about making an alternate dimension BSC file to live next door to the regular BSC house where all their features are exaggerated and monstrous. I don't know if they'll ever come by the regular BSC house but it might be funny for them to run into each other. Let me know what you think. And now, on with the show!

Can you believe this shit right here? You'll never in a million years guess what happened to me. Once again through no fault of my own, I got Covid. AGAIN. On my birthday. Once again my incredibly stupid antivax talk to everyone he comes across never masking piece of shit uncle got it and spread it to everyone else. I was so beyond pissed and spent at least one day completely unconscious and I fell behind on everything. but now I'm at about 95% and started working on this snark again. I know it's been slow going and is no longer spooky season but things are so rough right now it's a pretty uphill struggle to maintain normalcy. But I'm back on my shit again and enjoying myself tearing Dawn apart. Hope things start looking up for all of us. Well, let's go!

Hey, guys! How are things going with you? Me? I'm determined to make the best out of a terrible situation and not let things bring me down. I'm trying to do the things that spark joy and one of those things is snarking. I did get a little behind due to the holidays and the fact that I got my Christmas prezzie early-a big ass TV. Which turned out to be a huge distraction because my games look and sound so beautiful and I have the Conan streaming channel so I've just been gaming and laughing my ass off. But today I was awake too early and needed to fix my sleep schedule by staying awake and snarking gives me that bump I need. Don't let my hatred of Dawn fool you, I'm enjoying the Hell outta this snark due to my hatred. It's the same evil joy I get from being mean to Sims. Well, let's go!

Well, you guys the world's gone to shit and I've lost all faith in humanity but Goddamned if I'm gonna roll over and take it. The future might be uncertain especially for one as heavily marginalized as myself but I refuse to give in to despair. I plan to keep on keeping on. And it may seem stupid or trivial to keep up with my dumb little hobby but I'm trying to hang on to what little I have. Omg you guys, you should have heard the shriek of delight I gave when looking through what Mysteries I haven't snarked and lo and behold, there was a Dawn one. I was truely delighted I had one more chance at tearing into my favorite Queen of the Harpies. Yes, her books drive me absolutely up the wall but damned if it's not a fun journey. Probably because I'm so focused on what a terrible person Dawn is I can think of something else rather than how terrible the real world is. Plus all your lovely comments when I hate on Dawn fill me with joy. It's nice to have this comm that sees how horrible most of the BSC is rather than the rose tints I see everywhere else. This one is going to be stupid long. Well, let's go!

Greetings, y'all! How's it going with thee? Me? I don't know what it is but I've been doing great lately. Just everyday I'm in a good mood. I have a sneaking suspicion it's the end of the year joy I'm feeling. As the temperature drops my mood goes up, up, up! I love cooler weather and the holidays so I always look forward to them. Anyways, this book is quite a roller-coaster. Yes, Karen is an absolute terror even more than usual but it's got some happy Andrew moments and ends in an unexpected way so it wasn't completely awful, I'll give it a -47. Well, let's go!

Hello again! Thanks to everyone who left nice comments on my snarks of Stacey’s Big Crush. That one hurt my brain so much that I needed to take a few days off and that few days turned into almost a year but

I thought I would do something different this time and go back to one of the really early books. As I recall, those ones weren’t as painfully stupid/creepy so much of my snarking will be based on how things eventually change from how they were in the earlier books.

I’ll be going with Mary Anne Saves the Day since that’s also the book that introduces Dawn and we shall see if she was always such a prick, or if she had to learn as she went along.

I had a few bad sleep days and was just not feeling up to much of anything. But today I was pretty much back on schedule so I got back to this snark. And Glory be because the other shoe dropped and I got the extreme Karen bad behavior I was promised. Is it as bad the time she stole from, lied to and blamed Kristy over the pin? I don't know but it's a contender. I really have to wonder what goes into writing these books. I don't know how you can write something about a child as awful as Karen and sit there grinning about how great she is. Almost every plot of hers would fit in just fine with the villain of a children's book. I really don't get it. Because I don't smoke crack. Well, let's go!

Gosh, my dears, I got me a new obsession and have been wasting about ten million years on watching videos. Plus I had a deep clean/move of my room and that was taking up all my time + making me tired. But now I'm pretty settled in and got back to work on this snark. So far this book is pretty boring. I'm just hoping that other shoe I was promised on Reddit drops soon. Karen has been bratty sure, but I wouldn't put it on the same level on how she was with Kristy's pin. But again, I don't want any spoilers. If she doesn't end up being as terrible as previously I'll be a little disappointed but no big loss. Let's Go!

HI! Wavvedout here. A long-time lurker, sometimes commenter, and previous snarker back in the days of ~Ye Olde Livejournal~. Anyway, I’ve had some time on my hands after a long-term health issue. Also, my fiance has been out of town for several weeks and there is only so much Top Chef I can take. Although, it is on right now as I type. Anyway, I thought I would try snarking again, and I wanted to do a book that I have never read nor have read a snark about. I have a pretty full collection of BSC books because a few years back I had some weird goal to have every book, but some of them just turn me off based on topics. Well, they all kind of do but some more than others. And theater…it’s not that I don’t like it ok, but theater and the BSC? It’s already making me cringe. But let’s get started, I tend to be wordy so I will try to limit myself.

That’s it for now. I’ll try to have the next set of chapters up by the end of tomorrow. Sorry this was so long and wordy, I just haven’t read this one yet. I was trying to get a lot of info in there. Plus with the chance to reference one of my favorite Arrested Development episodes, I found wayyyy too many GIFs. Please let me know what you think. I have been out of practice for a long time and I’ve had some major health and life issues. I’d love to know how the tone of this snark came off. Thank you!

See, I'm a bundle of nerves right now because we have an impending visit from family I hate and I haven't been sleeping so I'm using that to my advantage. I've been wanting to do this snark for a bit since I read about it over on the BSC Reddit talking about times when Karen is just the worst. I mean, Karen is always the worst but there are certain times when she really out does herself. I know nothing about this book and didn't even realize it was a Halloween book which doesn't fit the season but oh, well. I'm looking forward to just how terrible this book gets so no spoilers! Sorry I'm late once again but I was having a mix of laziness + seasonal depression. I know most people get seasonal depression in winter but most people don't live in a Circle of Hell so my mood just drops once it starts to heat up. Knowing that it'll soon be over 112 degrees does not put me in a good mood. But I felt bad about not posting because y'all are so nice and say nice things about my silly little hobby and I could no longer put it off. You're my magic box friends, I can't leave ya hanging. On a slightly related note, I had to drop my house full of BSC kids file because I guess I infected my Sims file with No-kiditis and it kept crashing. I'm not even sure what was overwhelming my laptop because it has about the same amount of people and objects as my regular BSC file. I did manage to get a few screenshots so I'll either post them on a snark or make a separate post just for those. Well, let's go!

Hey, gals and pals! Sorry I've been absent but I was busy having a Hella good time! My most favorite uncle came to visit and it was just fantastic! I love him so much and he makes me so happy and it was all so great. But things have settled and I got back on that snarking train. I also started my BSC Kiddie Madhouse on Sims but didn't get far because some problems cropped up. First I realized I need two adults because one has to stay home with the kids while the other works. So go ahead and suggest what other BSC member it should be. I also gave them a hamster and since Jackie is in the household I figured it could be the one he got instead of Misty or Frodo. But does anyone know his hamster's name? Was it ever mentioned or was that all forgotten about? I'm open to any name suggestions if it doesn't have a canon name. Anyways, on with the snark! Hey, hey! I promise to be getting back to snarking soon but in the meantime I got some new packs for Sims and had an idea to make a house full of BSC clients because running a house of kids is supposed to be chaos and well, I thrive on that. The thing I was wondering is what kids should I add? You can have eight people per household and there will have to be at least one adult ( I'm thinking Kristy but am open to suggestion) and I do want Karen just because she's awful and that = entertaining. So, let me know what other kids you'd like to see in-game and I'll make a new household. Thanks, thanks!

Sorry about that! The end/beginning of the year is always a busy time for me. Not only the holidays but both mine and Grammy's birthdays come up. And now that we have a car again we've been going out more. Plus my sleeping has been more messed up than usual. But on the bright side I finally got a doctor who listens and I'm gonna finally be getting a sleep study done. Plus someone to look into my migraines. I'm hoping it will all lead to me feeling better with restful sleep and less headaches. Things have been busy but busy with good stuff and since I was in a pretty good mood I decided to finish this book. I'm hoping to get more snarking done even though next month looks to be busy with good things too. Well, let's go!

Now didn't I say as soon as the Mario RPG remake came out it would eat up all my time? Because that's what happened. Plus I was jumping through hoops to get YouTube to run with an ad blocker because I'll be damned if I'm gonna watch ads on fucking YouTube or pay to not have them.
